Not a guitar or bass player, but looking for some good MIDI guitar and bass grooves. Doesn't seem to be too many commercially available. Found a few at KeyFax NewMedia, but that's about it. Suggestions anyone? I was also thinking about buying Acid Music Studio just for the grooves since it advertises 3000 loops. I got the impression that a fair amount of those loops are actually MIDI grooves. Is that correct? |

Magix has great collections that include guitar and bass and are cheap. They are not midi but wav loops. They come pitched in various scales. I always use my Magix collection as starting point in compositions. However, for real time grooves you can't beat (pun intended) Virtual bassist, virtual guitarist and Real Guitar2. And for drums nothing beats (there I go again!) Jamstix2. Message last edited on7/6/2008 12:59:18 PM bylaserr. |

Steinberg discontinued Virtual Guitarist and Virtual Bassist this year after DigiDesign bought Wizoo, the creator of those two products. |

Have a look at Band in a box,.... I think it can export it's grooves to midi files. |

I'm familiar with Smart Loops and GrooveMonkee. The only MIDI loops they have are drum loops. |
