By acidplanet loops do you mean the free weekly 8 packs? They will work in Music Studio 7. In fact, just about any loop will work.

I was just making sure if I bought some loops from acidplanet they would work. Do you use acidpro? If so, do you think I made the right decision by starting out with m7 and leaning it before purchasing acidpro.

I think you made a good choice. You'll get a lot of mileage out of the Music Studio version.

If you want to convince yourself that the loops will work you can try downloading this week's 8pack. The loops included in it are exactly the same types that are available for purchase.

It's the right choice. I did it the same way: used Acid Music Studio for six months, got totally hooked, then got Acid Pro. You can also get hundreds of loops to play with from the Sony Acid loops site:

http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/loop_libraries/

Check the pages for each different loop CD, where you can download between 4 and 10 sample loops that can be used in any version of Acid.

You know looping is not really the way I want to go for music creating. I'm just feeling it out. I really bought the product to use as audio recorder for vocals and instruments. I was looking for all the different effects that could be utilized on vocals. Not a good purchase for that but I like it for the multiple recordings. I started dropping the vocals in Edision on FLStudio after I recorded them on MS7

You can record vocals and instruments... and anything in acid. Also, you can use soft synths. It is not just for looping.

One thing... If you want to record, you might want to consider is a good sound card.
