Subject:MSSQL 2005 Express Posted by: Bigmane Date:6/26/2008 11:31:54 PM Hello everyone, Can Microsoft SQL 2005 Express be used with Acid Pro 6.0 instead of the MSDN it comes with. It keeps telling me that I don't have enough privileges or it is not installed. But when I pull up the SQL Management, it shows MSSQL/Media studio manager as a server on my computer. How do you program the server to accept your login and password. It says that the SQL server does not allow remote connections, so I went ot the server configurator and told it to allow remote connections but it is still not accessing the media manager BigMane

I had to repair my Windows XP operating system today, and aftwards I have received the same problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acid Pro 7, Media Manager 2.4 and Microsoft SQL server (Sony Media Manager), but the problem still remains.

I followed the following steps: 1) Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services->select SQL Server (SONY_MEDIAMGR2)->change Start-Up type to Automatic. 2) Repeat the process for SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS). I hope this helps anyone else who experiences this problem.
