I'm looking into decoding some old SQ Quad Matrix recordings that were broadcast in the 1970's. Decoding involves changing the phase of the channels by 90 degrees, among other things. Is this something that Vegas can do? What about Sound Forge?

PS: There's a quad recording forum that has scripts for doing this process in Adobe Audition, which is capable of the 90 degree phasing.

Try the freeware 'PhaseBug' VST plug-in from http://www.betabugsaudio.com/plugs.php - it provides independant L/R variable 0 to -/+180 degree phase shift controls, works nicely in Vegas.

Why thanks! I never thought of a plug-in as a possibility.

BTW, I noticed there's a "rotate phase 90 degrees" checkbox on the AC-3 output options, but I don't think that is versatile enough for what this requires, nor is it in the right step of the process.
