Hello,
after complete disc and sys loss on my win xp laptop, I will set up win Vista 64-bit on that compatible machine (Core2Duo 7400, 2048mb ram) Very first time!

Are there any concerns or issues about installing, registering or using the following apps.?
AcidPro 6.0d, SF8.0d and SF9.0e (with working Izotope bundle?) and CD-Architect 5.2d

Do all plugins work correct? Is there anything else I should bear in mind about going to vista? I appreciate your help. thanx,

klabue

I'm running all that software fine on my Vista laptop. Admittedly, it's only Vista 32, but it should work.

With AcidPro 6.0d, the only problem you'll have is with Media Manager which isn't Vista compatible. Couple of ways around this though, the easiest being not to install Media Manager!

Hi@Scarford,

thanks, yes I heard about the Media-Manager and I wont install it ..

I also would like to know, if the Izotope-Bundle runs OK on your 32-bit vista?

Anyone with Vista Business 64-bit and above software?
Thanx so far,

Klabue

Vista 64 issues:

1)Check to make sure ALL your drivers are compatible...my M-Audio "midisport" 2X2 isn't yet. For Vista 32 it is.

2)Using the UAD plugins causes a "blue screen" crash in "hypkern64.sys" for me. Driver # 4.10 I think is the most current AND first Vista 64 driver they got. ie: don't waste your time with this...stay native.

3) OT: My camera isn't compatible with a 64bit OS. I own a Sony DCR-TRV280 NTSC digital camera. I also get a "blue screen" everytime I try to "capture" any video with it.

YMMV...I wouldn't even bother with Windows 7 at all and just stick with Vista 64. By the time Windows 7 comes out Vista 64 will be patched up some more and will have all the plugin venders writing 64bit plugins.

With microsofts track record ALWAYS wait till SP1 comes out for ANY of there products.
