I just upgraded to Sf9e, and have notices an issue. When I import or extract audio from a cd, It is really distorted and slow, but if I save it out and play it in WMP, or quicktime it plays fine. Any suggestions?

I know it's not the sound card, because it plays fine off the desktop, just not in sound forge.

Thanks!

Yancey

Fill out your system specs. What soundcard do you have.
What drivers and settings are you using in SF? IT sounds (the slow bit) like your card is locking its sample rate to something higher than 44.1khz - probably 48khz if it's a creative labs.
As for distortion - need to know what sound card settings you're using first..

I remember having a similar problem after upgrading, I don't remember the version though. All I did was do a cold boot and everything was normal again. Have you rebooted yet?

Do you have an SPDIF input on your interface active by any chance - I have to Mute that in my Aidiophile 2496 else it does all sorts of strange thing when playing back.

geoff
