Hello all.

Just recently purchased a new machine and it has Vista 64bit on it. I have disabled DEP and also selected Run This Program in Compatibility Mode for XP SP2. However, I get a message that Sound Forge requires Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1 and .NET Framework version 1.1 Service Pack 1.

I tried to install 1.1, but got the message it could not. So I downloaded the 64bit .NET version (which I got the message that it was already installed.).

Any ideas? I know that SF 9 runs in the Vista environment, but I would really like it if I didn't have to fork out $134 to do so.

Thanks for your help.

SF8 can be made to run - as you've discovered it's the .net that's the trick. I did go through the same tricks as you at one point - but there is a .net 1.1 installer that will work. Keep looking!
