Subject:SF5.0 where is batch converter?

I was hoping for a new and improved batch converter, that
would allow you to save files back to the folder they came
from. Instead there is NO batch converter?
help

Hi Aaron,

The Batch Converter is not currently in the Sound Forge
Beta. However, it will be back. The Batch Converter is
being redesigned as a standalone application. It will be
available in mid to late March. For early purchasers of
Sound Forge, we will provide a special offer that will
allow you to download the Batch Converter for free on our
web site. I will post the latest information as I receive
it.

Hi Ted

Well, it's at least good to see that Sonic Foundry is
reading these posts about the state of the Forge beta. Like
most other people here, I'm anything but impressed with
version 5. What we've got is a few cosmetic changes (many
of which aren't actually beneficial - I personally prefered
the play mater on 4.5; easier to read and more useful) and
a lot of ommisions and oversight.

I think that the CD writing 'features' are a case of
treating your pro and semi-pro customers like kids! By
discontinuing CD Architect I think we assumed you were
going to incorporate the whole thing into the new version
of Sound Forge. What you've given us is nothing short of a
joke!

I've also noticed, for me at least, the scrolling and
zooming doesn't seem to be as smooth and fast as 4.5. I
assumed you would have worked on things such as FX and
processing, which quality-wise are way below par compared
with the competition. I also think if you're removing the
native FX and making them Direct X, it would still be nice
to have a toolbar to access them as this can become a pain
when you've got a lot of plug-ins installed.

Anything else? Well, I could go on... All in all though, I
really do think that Sonic Foundry can't go on ignoring
it's core customer base - this is probably the source of
your current problems I've been reading about.

Ok, rant over.
