Hi,

I'm trying now, but this is my firts impresions:

-All as the same as the SF 4.5 plus 32 bits and 192 KHz.

-Same operation velocity as the 4.5 (The same time of 4.5
in open a song or process), slow.

-No dual CPU support.

-The Wave Hammer are a parient of L1 from Waves
(Limiter+compressor) no Dither.

-Best interface in the Audio Plugin Chainer, like Vegas
plugin chainer.

-¿Where is the Batch Converter? :-(

-Interesanting repair bench, I don't try enougth.

-The Acoustic Mirror are the same as the stand alone
pluging ver 1.1

-XFX are the same, bad sounding (Except the multiband
compresor but have a bad interface, Sonic Foundry look the
C4 from Waves).

-The Ripper and CD toaster inside. The ripper are a old
reminiscent of the CD Architecth (Is good, but not read
ISCR or CD Text).
The toaster is a toy, very nice and easy for the no-pro
people (Like users of Easy CD Creator), and so far of an
Audio professional CD Toaster, and so far (Very far) of
the CD Architecht; toast the songs like a packet writting
(Like Direct CD). No edit possibilities like: time between
songs, index marking, ISCR write, UPC, CD Text, etc. is a
non professional toy.
For a Pro Audio CD Toast you need remain the Sound Forge
4.5 and the CD Architecth (CD Architech is no pluging for a
SF 5).

This is my firts impressions (I need try more), but work
with 24 bits :-)

Regards

Added new "Super 3D icons".
Added new repair functions offered by cut and paste.
Removed CD architect and replaced with worst CD burning
support in the business.
Added 24-bit, 192 kHz support... not even an "official"
standard.

Sticking to version 4.5 to keep CD architect.
Using other programs for high rate editing.
Looking at other programs to move to.
I really wish I didn't have to say that.
Game over.
Brett

Siiigghhhh.... me, too.

From the sound of it, the "new" CD-burner facility is no better than (maybe not as good as?) the very
non-pro-level packages from folks such as Adaptec.

I'm definitely staying with release 4.5, in order to keep CD Architect. (Even though CDA doesn't
explicitly support my new burner... but by settings things by hand in CDA's "Advanced" section, I can
still keep using the product, even if it's a bit more hassle than it should be.)

I don't need 24/192, so for me SForge 5 would represent nothing but the loss of the CD-burning
software that I consider a MUST-HAVE piece of my audio toolbox.
