Hey I ran accross a really weird crash/error mastering an album. I recently upgraded to v4.5h. Here's what happens. I was trying to add a little reverb on an entire mix using TC Native Reverb v1.5. I get the "Forge 32"... "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.", and here's the stack dump that follows. FORGE32 caused an invalid page fault in module at 0000:009ef898. Registers: EAX=3e8d0100 CS=0167 EIP=009ef898 EFLGS=00050206 EBX=00aeb9d8 SS=016f ESP=025cfcdc EBP=025cfd24 ECX=009daf68 DS=016f ESI=ffff027f FS=1947 EDX=00000000 ES=016f EDI=025cfd2c GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 00 00 c0 38 00 00 c0 38 00 00 c0 38 00 00 c0 38 Stack dump: 009f11ec 009daf68 3e8d8e5a 3e9ed417 00aeba90 009f1e2c 009f1e28 bff80249 00000302 00000001 00000000 00aeb9d8 009f11ec 009ef898 009f09d4 3e9ed417 Then followed by: "An error was encountered while processing the sound file(- 10). Check to ensure your temporary storage disk is not full. Well I had 5 gig of disk space available, and I was only processing a 2 minute song. The program did not shut down after this though, and it actually looked like it processed the waveform. My client and I didn't like the errors, so we decided to do this processing in Vegas after I tempted it 2 more times with the same error. After further investigation after my client left, I found that this error only happened with the region I had selected. I did a "select all" and it processed it fine. I added extra time to my original region and again it processed fine. So anyways my region length was 00:02:06.09, the entire length of the file was 00:02:11.21, and the region start point was 00:00:03.07 (time format is smpte non-drop). I tried other plugins and it only happened with TC Native Reverb. So what gives on this one? Did I run across a one in a million bug? Thanks, Brian Franz |
