Wow, Thank you Ted for having the cahoonies for saying that you don't have information yet. I know I was declined for being a beta tester because it was being released soon, so we're all in anticipation now!!!! Sound Forge with 24bit support.....what a dream come true. You need the full blown copy of Sound Forge, the XP series won't help you. The Noise Reduction module is well worth the money. I've used it and the results are dramatic. Its not a straight forward product to use however, and you're going to have to play with it to optimize the desired output. There's a learning curve in other words. I really don't think you're going to find a "cheap" solution to this. There are other noise reduction products out there, but when they remove the noise, they also remove parts of the desired signal. In my opinion the Noise Reduction DirectX Plugin from SF is the lowest cost solution that will give you a quality end product. It cannot correct for LPs that skip or jump, but pops, clicks, scratches, etc are all handled very well and very few artifacts result in the output.
