Subject:splitting .wav files!

I recorded a 60 minute mixtape .wav file onto my harddrive,
how would I split that mixtape .wav file into separate
tracks? I want to be able to burn the separate .wav files
all together to a CD, so that i have the mixtape as it
sounded on tape, transfered to CD.
How can this be done in Soundforge?

I think what you're asking is that you recorded as a mono file? and
now you need to convert it to a stereo file so you can burn it
because your CDR software doesn't support mono files? If this is
what you mean then goto the "File" menu and select "properties" under
there you will find a tab called "audio properties". Select that and
then click the dot which says "stereo", then hit ok and it will
convert the mono file into 2 seperate L/R tracks.

oh..sorry..that's not what i meant....what i'm trying to do is take a
large wave file and break it up into its individual songs. Then later
putting it all onto CD.

ooohhhhh. That's even easier. Just do a copy and Paste and then
save the new file. Select the region in your original wave file and
then goto the file menu and select "New" wave and then do a Paste and
then save the new file as a new .Wav. Also if you have CD architect
it's even easier. You create regions in soundforge and then save the
wave file. The regions get saved with the wave file and then you
open up CD architect and open the wave file in the audio pool and all
your regions will show up, which you then put in a playlist as audio
tracks.
