is there a file size limitation for SF ???i'm trying out
the trial version of SF 4.5 ... i use vegas video. i have
some 6- 12gig VV files ( dv ntsc captured as type2) ... SF
cannot open them ... smaller clips 100mgs it does open ..

VV does have some audio effects BUT they only work on both
channels and the WHOLE clip ..it cannot just work on left
channel and a selected portion ... if in VV i cut the 1
hour clip into 1 min clips SF still trys to open the
entire 1 hr file.
on the smaller clips i have even if you only use 15 frames
out of the 30sec clip VV sound effects will affect the
entire 30 sec clip ...
i have 70hrs of interviews ..selects down to 20hrs
i have interviews of 2 persons...each mic to separtate
channel..i need to work on the separte channels ..
and on other tapes i have 2 persons on same track and i
need to adjust their levels individually ...
any suggestions ??

i found a work around the problem i was having ...1) using sound
fordge it would NOT open my large Vegas capture files (500mgs-
12gig)... when using VV you can right click on sound track and
select OPEN in SF .. SF would freeze ...i then tried OPEN copy in SF
and all clips will NOW open in SF once they are open you can close SF
and go back to the audio track and righht click and this time you can
choose open in SF and it will open ?? don't know why yoiu first have
to open a copy ?? but i can now work on the sound tracks ... this
worked on ALL clips captured in VV capture whether they were captured
as Dv type 1 or 2 .
