Yes, unfortunately I have to agree with all points made. I also love Acid 6 and most everything about it for music creation, mixing etc. This product could be amazing with some company changes and improvements. I love this software! Let's get an update or new version that is stable (especially with UAD 1 and some other plugs, vsti's etc) I would also like to thank the very helpful people in this forum who have helped me with stability issues that were related to my system and tweaking for audio apps. I hope you don't all disappear. Most problems are now solved except for the ones that point directly to Acid. I feel like I'm on a rudderless ship. We need an update for 6 and a new version with a new feature called STABILITY! BTW - I'm Canadian and my Dad is from Wales |

Hmmm. Well, Peter from Sony does answer a lot of posts and offers good practical advice on how to overcome problems. I've also found Sony support to be quite good on basic issues. Not releasing any info on upcoming products isn't unusual. Sony has at least said that there will be an AcidPro7. AP7 does seem a little slow in coming, but then I prefer that to the yearly upgrades of a lot of other companies such as Ableton and Sonar. No sooner have you learned one new set of features than the next update is out. This also leads to serious "feature bloat" as each release has to have an enticing list of additions. I notice lately that Sonar is getting so bloated they've taken to bundling more synths and effects instead, which is a good move. That said, I do hope AP7 comes along soon and that the issues of stability are addressed while keeping the app slim and simple. Most of all Ihope that it's aimed at pro users, not the kiddie market. |

Slim and simple for Pro's? Is it possible to do this? Without looking like AP4.0f? I am sorry but the ability to link loops, chop, cut paste, reverse, edit apply fade, volume, pan, effects send and bussing is in every application now. Therefore it must come down to ease of use, work flow and project scalability. These factors will greatly determine the future usage of ACID. |

I too do not want yearly product updates and program bloat that other applications provide. And agree that a slim and simple app is paramount. Hey, that's why I bought into Sonic Foundry products in the first place. ;) Maybe some news on AP7 from NAB later today? Anyone lucky enough to be in Vegas (the city) this week?
