Subject:timing off after noise reduction

When I apply the noise reduction tool to a .wav file
containing speech it changes the timing of the dialogue.
The overall time of the clip remains exactly the same
though. This is something I need to lay over video and
have it match the person's lips, so the timing is very
important. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
