Hello, I'm lost when it comes to recording in this program. All I want to do is record my voice and multiply it 4 times with the option to hear my voice on the left ear moving to the right ear. This is the way I'd like to hear it as the end product. If you can help me,I need to know exactly where to go and what to do.Remember,NEWBIE HERE! Thanks |

I will gladly tell you how to get your voice, to move from one ear to the other, but first it sounds like you need to learn how to record in Sound Forge. I highly doubt anyone here is going to take the time to walk you through the steps to setup Sound Forge so you can record your voice. It's in the "Help" menu, start looking and reading, the extra reading will do a "Newbie" good. Hi Enzo, I'm going to assume you already have your mic and sound card set up and you have Sound Forge up and running. Here are the basic steps: 1) Select File>New. 2) Choose the settings you want for your file. Make sure to select Stereo under Channels so that the panning effect will work. Click OK. 3) Select Special>Transport>Record. 4) Activate the Monitor option so you can see your input level. 5) Click the Record button and start recording your voice through your mic. 6) Click the Stop button when your done. 7) Click Close and you should now have your recorded file. 8) Select Process>Pan/Expand. 9) Choose the Left To Right (linear) preset. 10) Click OK. Now when you play your file, you should hear your voice slowly panning from left to right. Best, Scott -- Scott R.
