Subject:Getting Audio from CD player

Can I use Soundforge to 'grab' audio from my cdplayer? Any
help is greatly appreciated as I'm new to all this!

Well first of all we need to know if you're talking about a CD player
which is external from your computer and then we also need to know
what you mean by the term "Grab"? Grab sounds like you're trying to
do something which is known as "Ripping" or "Extracting"

Hi Graeme,

If you're using a regular consumer sound card like the Sound Blaster,
this isn't difficult at all. Just double-click on the yellow speaker
icon in the Windows System Tray to open your sound card mixer. Then
select Options>Properties, choose Recording and then click OK. Now
just put a check mark in the Select option for your CD player input.
Sound Forge should now record any audio coming from your CD player.
