I'm thinking about upgrading to Win Me, but wanted to make sure Sound Forge will continue to run. Anyone know? |

Hey Todd. I've been using WinME for a while now, and Sound Forge / ACID work like a charm. No extra stuff needed, just install and edit away! :) Todd wrote: >>I'm thinking about upgrading to Win Me, but wanted to make >>sure Sound Forge will continue to run. Anyone know? |

Hi All, The official word at this time is that the programs have not been tested, so we make no guarantees. I will post a message here once there is an answer. Ted Todd wrote: >>I'm thinking about upgrading to Win Me, but wanted to make >>sure Sound Forge will continue to run. Anyone know? |

For some reason...Soundforge won't open my mp3 files. I'm running winME. I had win98 and it worked fine. Also, I tried opening mp3 files in Cool Edit...they opened but sounded loud and staticy...ultimately wrong. I get an error saying "...caused an error in FRGMP3.DLL" from Soundforge. I'm not sure what to do...I'd appreciate any kind of response...thanx |

Well, I had Sound Forge 4.0 included with my Creative Labs sound card. Worked fine on Windows 98, worked fine on Windows 2000, but died the death on Windows ME. The software seems to install but doesn't load when clicked -- no error messages and is not a running process on the system. I'm seriously considering moving everything (card, software, etc) back to the Windows 2000 system because, unfortunatley, I love the software. My wife is going to think I'm nuts for switching it back because I spent nearly a week of afternoons switching my network all around. I used it on my radio broadcast that I was doing for a few months and it blows me away. Intuitive, powerful, and clean. Please let us know as soon as possible.
