I am trying to use the overwrite function to paste new data over many many regions, I can't get Contol H to invoke the overwrite function- is there a way to automate this overwrite process, i.e. replacing each kick drum hit in an audio track with a new kick drum sound of my choosing. Thanks, dpfresh |

Wait a minute. Do I understand this completely. You have a complete song opened in Sound Forge as a wave file and you want to replace each kick in that file with another kick? If this is the case, I think you have a problem. Since this song has already been mixed down to one (stereo) wave file it's virtually impossible to change an individual sample from there. Best thing is to go back to the sequencer you made the song in (i.e. ACID/Cubase) and change the kick there. Then resave as a wave file and reopen in SF. It is actually from a drum kits individual kick drum track and it is a wacky experiment where I replace the kick drum hits on the individual kick drum track with the sampled drum sound of my choice, i.e. a roland 808. You get a real drummers time with an 808 vibe. I can do it manually but was just wondering if there is a way it can be automated. |

Ok, I think I understand. Can't help ya though since I've never worked with SF like that. Sorry... :( David wrote: >>It is actually from a drum kits individual kick drum track and it is >>a wacky experiment where I replace the kick drum hits on the >>individual kick drum track with the sampled drum sound of my choice, >>i.e. a roland 808.
