How do I divide an hour long recording into sections. Let's say there are 10 songs in that one wav file, how would I be able to cut that up so that after I burn that CD, then put it on the CD player, you can select what song you want to hear out of that entire set? You know, like track 1, 2, 3 etc..... Thanks in advance! |

If you have Sound Forge and simple CD burning software like Adaptec's Easy-CD, here's how... Create ten wave files from the original hour long session by cutting out the songs and pasting them into new files. Then save the files (as 44kHz Stereo), and create an Audio CD with the ten wave files. If you wish the audio to have no gaps between songs, you must burn the CD in "Disc-At-Once" mode (which means the laser nevers turns off between tracks). Other modes will write in a two second silent gap between songs. Or, you can use an Audio CD layout tool like Sonic Foundry's CD Architect or Golden Hawk's CDRWIN, which will let you set track markers without having to chop up the original audio file. Thank you so much! I'll try that when I get home.
