Help! I'm tring to sycronize a cassette recording which is
from the mixer board at the church of a funeral that I have
video taped, with the camcorder's background sound. I feel
so bad that I didn't bring my hi-fi VCR and tapped in their
mixer like I normaly do because I have no problem to
syncronize that with the camcorder's sound but this was the
last spur at the moment thing so now all I got is their
cassette recording which they gave me. It's the shits!!! I
have tryed to sycronize it with the camcorder's sound but
the cassette recording speeds up and slows down only noticed
to someone trying to sycronize it with something else. There
is no steady speed. Is there a way to add the cassette sound
track on the sound forge under the camcorder's sound track
to manipulate the cassette sound track to match with the
camcorder's or does anyone else out there have any ideas. I
have been stuck on this one for awhile.

Thanks Pete

Pete, if you can buy Vegas your worries will be over, there you can
sync the audio and video together! All you do is click and drag the
audio to match the video, it is that simple! You will need to invest
in a nice video card to import the video from the camcorder. I haven't
used the video capability of Vegas yet, but intend to soon! Also,
another thought is to purchase the Noise Removal software from Sound
Forge to cleanup the cassette noise. Seems like alot of money, I know,
but in the future when you want to do this again, you will be
equipped! Hope this helps!MM.
