I have posted a question earlier and I appreciate the
response I have gotten, but yet I have another problem. I
am mastering a project using Sound Forge and have gotten a
larger sound using "QTools Stereo Expander", gotten a
britgher sound using "Smooth Enhance", and then used
the "Normalizer" in SF. The problem is that the overall
sound doesnt sound as open as it should. Any suggestions on
what plug-ins or settings could give me a more open sound.
Any suggestions or tips would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Ken

Hi Ken,

One thing to consider is that every time you 'process' a file in SF
with a plug-in or use a SF built-in, and save to new file, there are
little round-off's that take place, making the result a less clear
than the original. For much more info on this, check out
www.digido.com. Bob Katz explains many pitfalls of digital audio
editing.

Also, I think it's not very likely that you can increase openness by
processing. My experience is that openness decreases with
processing, especially compression.

What type of music are you working with ?

Regards,
Rick Z
