I NEED HELP!!!! I want to put my voice over a background loop. This is what i did i made a wav file with just my voice and i made a file with the background loop. So i wanted to put my voice over the bacground loop. so i mixed my voice over the background loop. The only problem is that the voice over file is longer then the bacground loop. What i want to know is how to make the background loop play over and over again while the my voice file is still going? I was fooling around for hours yesterday trying to figure this out. ok, you can do this in SF but i recommend you get ACID and mix it in there. SF: open both the loop and your voice. if you've already truncated the loop properly, select all, copy, go to the end of your loop and paste. press paste a few dozen times until the desired length is reached. now you can mix your voice into the file. ACID: open the loop file and simply draw it as long as you want it. it'll automatically repeat. now open the voice file and place it in the song. it's as easy as that. however, what is perhaps not so easy is getting the voice to stay in sync with the background loop. if the voice sample plays too slow or too fast there isn't much you can do in SF. in ACID there is. try setting the voice sample to Disk Based and enable the Stretch From Tempo function. freak around with these settings a bit. note how the speed of the voice sample changes seperately from the rest of the song. it might be a bit difficult, but it can be done. hope this helps, and good luck.
