Subject:DSP Factory Directx with Sound Forge

Has anybody tried to download the new Yamaha DirectX drivers
from there web site? I am still trying to get to use the
DSP effects with sound forge (plug-in).
Would appreciate some response to this if anyone uses DSP +
Sound Forge.

DirectX drivers are DirectSound drivers. Sound Forge does not use
DirectSound to play audio. Plugins are part of the DirectShow/Media
technology are are in no way dependent on DirectSound.

As far as I know, Yamaha did not implement control of the DSPF
effects through DirectMedia plugins. Cakewalk had developed some, but
these are no longer available with the current versions of Cakewalks.
You may still be able to get them from CW web site, but you will need
Cakewalk to use them.
