I've just noticed that sound files recorded with Vegas set to 24-bit recording using a Yamaha DS2416 sound card are actually saved as 32- bit sound files. I hope the next Sound Forge revision will include this bit- depth as well... Stephen |

Hi Stephen, The default saving of 24-bit data into a 32-bit data space in Vegas is not a good thing. Your A/D controls what bit depth your music is converted to. Disk space is wasted by reserving 32-bits of space for every 24-bit sample. Hopefully, Peter will respond to your question.
