Regions are recognized by CDA but that's it. You will have to convert
everything to a region and then the regions will show up under the
file name in your audio pool in CDA.

Thanks Andrew, but the problem still the same !!.

Example: I'v got pice of music with a very nice beggining, but what a
stupid end!. In the middle, there is a very cool loop point, and I
wish to translate them to the Architect in order to be executed or
extracted from the finalized CD.

When converting the loop points (in SF) to regions, there is no
problem, but when I've got them in the (architect) audio pool I have
to:
A.- Put the entire wave.
B.- Same with the region (loop)
C.- Move the region over the entire wave in order to get two layers.
D.- Search for the beggining and end of the layered region.
E.- Insert idex marks
F.- Erase the region.

If we where talking about a single pice of music, probably there
where no problem, but ...... I have to do "3 CD's plenty of musical
loop points and ambience loop points", and oh boy!!!... I'm
perceiving a fixed fee for the job !!!!!

Any other suggestion?
Anyway thank you all, (I'm following your name in the forums and your
comments are allways right. CARRY ON !!)
Regards
Hermes

If I understand you correctly your just trying to drop indecies where
the loop would occur and not trying to mix? You're just using the loop
region as a guide for the index?(I'm assuming so 'cause you're
removing the region after you drop your index).

CDA will put sequential regions together seamlessly. Make a region
that is everything from the beggining to the start of the loop
section, a region that is just the loop section you want to index, and
a region of everything after the loop. Add the first region as
track1, add the loop region (and make sure there's no gap between the
two) and drag the end flag of track 1 to the end of the loop region,
select your loop region and drop your index, add the last region
(again no gap) and drag the track 1 end flag to the end.

You will now have the track put back together seamlessly with an index
where your loop section is. The track will consist of 3 regions but
it plays exactly the same as if you loaded the whole file. Yes you're
cutting up the file but you're also putting it right back together
just make sure that the start of one region is exactly the same as the
end of the region before it.

In a file I will region off every little thing that I might want to
flag in CDA (index's, tracks, sections I want to remember, etc..)
