I'm running S/Pdif from my DAT into an Aark 20/20+ with the driver downloaded from Aardvarks sight. All levels are fine and the program records well until what seems like random points in the recording (and I say this since there seems to be no pattern as to when this begins. It can happen 2:15 into a song and then if I record the samepiece again, it'll be fine or it will show up elsewhere)the entire recording begins to break down into a distorted pile of... something. I have proper, matching bit rates, and frequencies in all options unless I'm missing one somewhere. I am convinced that it has something to do with buffers although I don't find anywhere (Imagine that) what the proper buffer settings should be with a 450mHz Celeron processor and 128mb of RAM. I'm also wondering if what I'm trying to do is pushing my RAM size but as far as I can tell I have plenty of it. Col |
