I'm brand new to Sound forge XT and CD Archatect. I mainly am recording live school band concerts on DAT and then loaded them into Sound Forge as one long wav file and edited them. How can I break each tune from the concert into a separate tracks for a CD? Ben |

While in SF, mark the front of each song and then create a region for each, naming them as you go. When you have finished processing the entire .wav file, save it and open up CDA. Click on the audio pool button at the top, find your file and double click on it to add (make sure that all check boxes are UN-checked). From the audio pool, add the songs, one at a time, in the order that you want them to appear on the CD. After you add each song, fade out the end as desired. You can set (or disable) a default time between tracks in the options | preferences | editing menu. CDA will automatically place a track index at the beginning of each song as you add it to the playlist. This method will allow you to separate the individual songs into tracks and place them in any order you want on the CD as well as specify how much time between tracks you want.
