Grooves don't get copied with clips. -ACID Product Family

Posted by: chaircrusher Date:3/18/2008 6:48:49 PM I have a bassline, where I discovered that if I painted Polyrhythm1 on selected subsections of a MIDI clip, it put in a neat little trill turnabout. Oh great! So I tried to copy the MIDI clip out to a range of measure, but the groove doesn't gete copied with it! And it doesn't appear that I can make a new groove from an existing collage of grooves in the timeline. And I can't copy what I've painted in the groove lane to repeat it. Nor copy what I've painted into a new groove. All I can do apparently is record the midi clip to an audio clip and use that. Furthermore when I try and derive a groove from an audio clip, and apply it to the original midi, it doesn't sound the same. Woe! Am I missing something here?
