Is it possible to start recording when pressing the first note on your keyboard controller.

No, ACID does not expose a "Wait for Note" mode to trigger recording.

This is a feature that has been asked for in the past. We will consider it for a future version of ACID.

just a 1 bar count in / click would be fine.
