Subject:Trouble with recording dat tape

Help we are having some major malfunction with sound forge
not being able to record from a dat deck.We've checked all
our connections etc.... but it just isn't working any and
all advice welcome even some simple no brainers we probably
didn't think of.

What sound card are you using? How are you connected? Digital,Analog?
