Subject:Latency and buffering question??

Hey can someone help me..... Im working on a mix and when i go to record the next track it re-records when im recording the new track. What can I do to fix this ........ Please help

I'm confused - your title mentions latency and buffering, but your post mentions recording "what you hear"? Which is it?

Assuming post - how/ what are you recording - external instrument etc? How are things set up = it could be simply a case of switching your soundcard settings via the little speaker icon at the bottom to line in, instead of "what you hear", but without any more info, it's not going to be easy to help you.

Sorry about the confusion with my question. I changed my sound card settings and i got it to work thanks for the hints.
