Subject:playing wav files just like ACID

when I edit the acid properties of a wave file to a certain
BPM and a certain key it doesn't always sound exactly like
ACID. How can I play a wav file with acid properties
EXACTLY like acid would ??

Thanks,
Seth

Editing the ACID properties has no effect on the wav itself, only on
the information embedded into the file for ACID to read. So editing
the properties will not have any effect when playing the file outside
of ACID.

so there is no way for soundforge to "mimic" acid and play a wav like
acid would with the wav's acid properties?

Hi Seth,

Doesn't seem to be. You can use the time compress/stretch function to
stretch/shrink the audio to the proper length for the BPMs you want
and preserve it's pitch, just as Acid does. But to be honest it
hasn't been my experience that any simple command or method in SF
produces the exact same sound. Similar, but not the same.

It doesn't appear to me that Acid & SF use the same algorithms. The
artifacts produced by Acid are markedly different to my ears than
those produced by SF. But, for you it may be a case of close enough.
