Usually it appears after you've done quite a lot of file-intensive work (like extracting regions or after a long batch-job). This bug exists at least from version 4.0 on (when the batch-converter was an additional plug-in) and isn't cured yet. But there's a workaround. When you enter the target-folder, be sure not to use the "Browse"-button; instead, enter the folder-name by hand - and you'll never see this bug again... Hope this helps...
