Come on guys. It's way past time for the 24 bit version of
Sound Forge. How many more of us will change over to
Wavelab before you give us the new version?

Hello Jeff.

It will be released after we finish up Vegas Video.

Thanks.

That's nice and cryptic. I learned audio editing on sound forge
and I've been an enthusiastic user for years but the problem is it's
been way to many years without an update. It seems like every time I
hit your web page you're releasing a new product which gives one the
feeling that a sound forge update is a bottom barrell priority. Maybe,
with Sonic Founcry's burgeoning partnerships and acquisitions, sound
forge is small potatoes. Personally I like the way sound forge edits
and feels, better then wave lab, but that's about it's only advantage.
Wave lab is so much faster, operates in 24 bits, allows multiple
previewing of direct-x, etc. I've been holding out for a long time but
I'm tired of sitting and twiddling my thumbs waiting for Sound
Forge to trim off the beginning of a 5 minute file when WaveLab does
it in about a second.
Your above comment sounds like later rather then sooner. I guess
it's time to throw in the towel.

Bob

Is this a statement of resource limitations, or marketing
requirements?
