Subject:RMS Levels

How does one switch from using peak to RMS levels with the
normalizer on SFXP 4.5? I have no clue as to how to do
that and it would sure help alot if I had one. Thanks

a look? You could be the person that gives me enough

Hi Jess,

Go to Process | Normalize in SF 4.5

Once in the Normalizing window, click on the dot (radio button) for
Average RMS Power (loudness). That's about it...

If you want, if the scan button in the lower left corner. that will
scan through the file and tell you the current peak level and the
current RMS level. then by using the slider to the left of the
window you can increase and decrease the RMS of the file to your
liking. Also look in the lower right coner at the 'If clipping
occurs' and play with those options.
