Im having no problem getting great tone recording my instruments, but when it comes to recording vocals I cant figure it out. Ive got several real nice mics but no matter what Ive tried they just dont pic up the signal from a natural human voice. (by natural I mean no amplification.) So far the only way I can even get the signal loud enough is with a regular old cheap pc mic, and they sound horrible. Im completely baffled.. Please, someone tell me what is the best mic and/or way to record vocals? Thanks |

What kind of pre-amp are you using? Sounds like you are trying to record from a line in with a mic to me? pauly Jimmie wrote: >>Im having no problem getting great tone recording my >>instruments, but when it comes to recording vocals I cant >>figure it out. The best way to record vocals, from my experience, is through a compressor directly into the computer. Jess101 (www.mp3.com/madscientists ...If you like. I get paid when I get enough listens per day. Karma baby.) Jimmie wrote: >>Im having no problem getting great tone recording my >>instruments, but when it comes to recording vocals I cant >>figure it out.
