I can't monitor VST effects when recording ? -ACID Product Family

Subject:I can't monitor VST effects when recording ? Posted by: MrSpeed Date:3/3/2008 7:50:57 AM I can't hear VST effects when recording. I can add and hear them on playback. For many effects I can see the benefit of leaving the recorded signal dry so you can tweak settings later in the mix. I'm using a guitar amp plugin and it would be nice to hear the distortion as I record the track, even if it leaves the recorded sample dry. I tried to add a little reverb in the mix while recording/monitoring vocals and it was the same thing. I can't hear them while recording bu they are fine in playback. Is there some simple setting to change this behavior ? I didin't see anything in help.

I believe the only way you can monitor FX in real time while recording is with track FX? I have tried to monitor an FX while recording with the track sending to a bus FX and I cant hear it until playback. It works fine if the same FX is applied to the track youre recording on, though. Is this true, Peter?

I looked through help and I didn't see it. I clicked on the fx button at the track level and added some reverb. I here my guitar but it's dry. I want to hear it with the reverb as I record.
