Subject:File Open Using RAW Posted by: maluca Date:2/1/2000 4:43:00 PM Did anybody notice when Sonic Foundry put the blasphemous error checking in the File Open RAW feature? I haven't done it in a while and now I can't open just any file - if it happens to be a Real Audio file (and perhaps others?), it gives me an error instead of opening it! I work as a sound designer and sometimes when I hit the "wall" for a sound, I would just open up arbitrary files with the RAW feature and listen to what Sound Forge thought the data should sound like - and I used to get some great ideas. I've been robbed! Anybody else notice this?
