Can anyone tell me how to fade out an effect (or fade in). I want my song to start like an old radiosound and after 7 seconds the song must be clean, so without any effects. I know how to fade in and out the volume, but the manual doesn't say a thing about fading effects. thanks, Frank |

Hello. You could use the "Graphic Fade" tool, available from the Process menu under Fade -> Graphic. This would allow you to draw an envelope starting out low (0) and fading up to high (%100) for example. You could also use this for other kinds of volume adjustments. Thanks. frank barnhoorn wrote: >>Can anyone tell me how to fade out an effect (or fade in). >>I want my song to start like an old radiosound and after 7 >>seconds the song must be clean, so without any effects. >>I know how to fade in and out the volume, but the manual >>doesn't say a thing about fading effects. >>thanks, >>Frank |

I think he means an envelope fade with an effect - not volume - which I believe is not possible in SF. You can do this in ACID or Vegas Pro, but the only way to do what you're asking is to do an incremental processing over time - processing chunks of data up to the point where you want it clean - starting with very effected and gradually tapering off. Use the snap to zero for this. Sounds exactly like the opening effect I just did for a production of Evita. I created a wet track (just the radio futz) and then xfaded it with the dry track. This is a little cumbersome in SF but CDA makes it easy if you don't have Vegas. frank barnhoorn wrote: >>Can anyone tell me how to fade out an effect (or fade in). >>I want my song to start like an old radiosound and after 7 >>seconds the song must be clean, so without any effects. >>I know how to fade in and out the volume, but the manual >>doesn't say a thing about fading effects. >>thanks, >>Frank |
