I would like to have the ability to drag my ACID tracks around wherever I go to work on them over my lunch hour and things like that. Has anyone run ACID Pro 6 on a UMPC? Would there be any compatiblity issues? Something small that could still handle ACID would be nice. Thanks! |

If I understand Intel's intent for the UMPC it would not make sense to buy one to use ACID. According to Intel's own web site: The UMPC is a mobile device designed to access online media and content on the go. It is not designed to process lots of work or write a college thesis. You have your laptop or desktop for these tasks. Instead, the UMPC is a great PC companion. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was not up to the task of running ACID or other music creation software. That's is simply not it's intent. ~jr |

I was looking for something that would be like an ACID version of the Micro BR but I agree with you that the UMPC probably isn't going to be that deivce. I was hoping that maybe someone on this forum was using a UMPC or they had tried it and had a first hand report on how it worked with ACID. Thanks for the input JR! |
