Recently bought a new computer with Windows 98; I installed Soundforge 4.0a, about 4 mins into the recording process, the audio turns up about 2 decibals higher, and my computer turns off. This happened on 5 different occassions. I never had this problem before with my old computer using Windows 95. I tried using a different sound editing program(Cool Edit) to record wavs and didn't have any problems. Anyone out there have any idea what's going on? Any suggestions, input will be greatly appreciated. I have a Pentium III, 128 RAM and 20 gigs of hard drive. Thank you.. Sean |

Hello Sean. Sound Forge 4.0a is getting quite a bit old, my suggestion would be for you to download and install the most recent update available from the download section on our website. The latest update is 4.0e. If this problem persists, please give us a call at 608-256-5555, we are open from 7am-10pm mon-fri CST. Thanks. sean christianson wrote: >>Recently bought a new computer with Windows 98; I installed >>Soundforge 4.0a, about 4 mins into the recording process, >>the audio turns up about 2 decibals higher, and my computer >>turns off.
