If Sound Forge does not support OLE Automation, is there
any way that I can access the different functions of the
batch processor from an external app? I'm trying to
automate SF within an app, but I'm having alot of troulbe
with this. Is this what the Plugin Development Kit is used
for? Any help or hints is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Quinn

No. You can't do anything like this. There is no exposed API -
whether propritary or COM based.

There are no plans for adding such support. (It has been asked for
before.)

The PIDK is for developing audio plugins that process audio as an FX
would. It follows the DirectX (formally Active Movie) plugin
architecture.

An exposed API for SF ... now that would be dreamy...

While I don't think we're going to see it any time soon, I'd like to
add myself to the list of people who would love to see it and have
asked for it.
