I just bought a new 433 emachine (i know but it was free from best buy and I was using a 484/100 waiting days for effects to be added) with windows 98. After I installed soundforge 4.5 I can no longer get any output while recording. I can see in on the meter and it is there after I am done, but I can listen during recording. Any ideas? |

You need to enable hardware monitoring with your audio hardware. Forge does not do this in software. How you do it depends on your audio card. I pulled my hair out for two days reconfiguring EVERYTHING, then on the third day I turned on my computer and noticed that in the Crystal Audio setup under Multimedia, the playback option includes "Line In" output volume. I must of opened that window 1,000 times and never saw that. I'm not this studpid most of the time, I promise. |
