DVDA Studio 4.0 and 4.5

I just purchased DVD Architect Studio 4.0 from a vendor online. I haven't succeeded in getting customer service to respond to this question in over a week, so thought I would ask it here...

Is DVD Architect Studio 4.5 an upgrade to version 4.0? If not, then have there been any upgrades issued for 4.0?

Hello there;

The answer to both questions is no. I was lucky to reach the Sony support and makes them the same question and the answer were very cold from a very unhappy customer representative.

DVDAS 4.5 was released to provide compatibility with Vista. So far as I know there is no other significant difference.

DVDAS 4.5 *IS* and upgrade to 4.0. While no significant changes IMO were introduced with 4.5. Some new features were added, the one thing I can think of is button alignment snapping. It makes lining up buttons a breeze.

4.0 was released with VMS 7, 4.5 came out with VMS 8.

It looks like 4.5 will continue to be the "current" version when VMS 9 is released
