Subject:Do I need ACID Pro in order to ACIDize files?

I'm looking for a simple way to ACIDize loops. ACID Music Studio or Express doesn't seem to do it - only Pro. ACID Pro has the feature which lets me edit Beat Markers manually for example, but do I really need it? Is there any other application which exports to ACID format? I've got Sound Forge Audio Studio but it doesn't let me edit the Beat Markers. Maybe Sound Forge 9 can do that?

I appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks,

Giannis

You'll need the full blown version of Sound Forge to do that.

I'm sure the other high end editing programs probably do ACID loops too. Sound Forge 9 is worth the upgrade just for the Izotope mastering tools.

Sound Forge has its (indispensable) ACID Loop Creation toolset but Sound Forge doesn't have the ability to work with beat/stretch markers like ACID Pro does, which is why I'd suggest using ACID Pro as a final step in optimizing one's ACIDized loops.

I believe the "lighter" versions of Sound Forge have the basic ACID Loop Creation tools but I guarantee that sooner or later one is going to want the control the full-blown version of Sound Forge provides (like the Loop Tuner and the at-the-sample-level editing).
