I actually got it to work using midi yoke. These are the instructions: http://support.soundsonline.com/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=54&id=102&artlang=en However, now I can not render to a wave. |

Can Acid allow a audio track to record an existing midi track? |

Do you mean: can you feed the output of a soft synth as the input to an audio track for recording? |

> Can Acid allow a audio track to record an existing midi track? Sure. Solo the MIDI track and press Ctrl+M (or use Tools | Render to New Track...). This will record the MIDI track onto an audio track. You can then mute the MIDI track as it is no longer needed in the output. I like to group both in a Folder Track so they remain together. ~jr Message last edited on2/21/2008 8:26:35 AM byJohnnyRoy. |

Yes Jumbuk I want to make a audio track record a midi track. JohnnyRoy, when I try Ctrl+M it renders but is not having any playback sound. Understand that my input and output for the midi is not the same as usual. This is the directions for the setup which I successfully have done but there is no way to save it. http://support.soundsonline.com/faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=54&id=102&artlang=en Thank you for your help! |

According to that setup, MIDI track 1 will be the track used to record your performances. Did you record a performance into MIDI track 1? Is that the track you are using to solo and press Ctrl+M after you record it? I can only assume that after Track 1 is recorded it will be the playback track which drives the Symphonic Choirs soft synth. Is that not the case? I've never used Symphonic Choirs and it certainly has a very strange setup. How does it work with other DAW's? At some point it needs to send it's output out through ACID and Ctrl+M should be able to record it. ~jr Message last edited on2/21/2008 7:14:36 PM byJohnnyRoy. |

Hello Johnny, Actually track one the one that successfully records the midi is set to OUTPUT midi yoke 1. It has to do this to hear the choir sound. However the control M will not create a wave that is audible. Control M does allow me to hear the other stuff that is going on from other tracks. |
