when I record from cd it records so low that ya can barely
hear it, other than that it sounds fine. My volume on the
sound card record is all the way up, and also on sound
forge. Why does it record so low volume and how can I
change that?

Hello Dan.

There are no commands in Sound Forge which actually affect this.
Sound Forge relies on your Windows soundcard mixer settings to control
the input. You could check your Windows Mixer settings by clicking:
Start->Programs->Accessories->Entertainment (Windows 98) or Multimedia
(Windows 95) and then Volume Control.
From Volume Control, you can click:
Options->Properties, select Recording, and then hit OK.
This is where you can adjust the volume for the input.

Thanks.

I do not know your sound card problems, but I have a solution.
Download the shareware program winDAC32. It will take tracks
directly off of a CD digitally and convert them into wav files. Then
you can bypass your soundcard's attatchment, whatever the problem
maybe.
