Subject:Clicking

Does anybody know how to stop the clicking I get during
playback?
I happens all of the time (sounding like a vinyl plugin!)
but does not actually write itself over the sample (i.e.
There is no clicking when the same sample is played through
Windows media player or Cubase VST

Setup
AMD k6-2 300Mhz
96MB Ram
13GB HardDrive
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live!

The multimedia settings are set at excellent / best
I have played around with small buffers and large buffers in
sound forge
(version 4.5c)

Welcome to the suffering brotherhood!
I am still bearing some problems during play back, but I have
no more clicks since a install a second HDD dedicated only to
.wav files (besides other advantages).
