The help file refers to a Pitch Shift function in the Effects menu but all I can find is a woozly Pitch Bend which is covered elsewhere in help. Does the function really exist or am I reading unfulfilled promises? "Altering Pitch Without Changing the Duration of the Sound Undo the last operation and return to the Pitch Shift dialog. In the last two examples, the Preserve duration check box was left unchecked. When you check this box, a completely different algorithm is used to change the pitch of the sound. Select the Third down preset and check the Preserve duration check box. Next, you must select a mode. Different algorithms are included for different kinds of sounds. These modes are only suggestions, since many will work with different types of sound. It’s best to just try a few different ones and choose the one that sounds best to you. For this saxophone riff, the mode named A13. Solo instruments 4 does an excellent job. Now, preview the sound.
